Thoughts for My Day (and yours if you want them)
I have been reading The Miracle of Forgiveness by Spencer W Kimball for the past few months. Our Stake President challenged each member of the stake to read it before our next stake conference. It has been a wonderful book to read and it is FULL of great ideas and quotes that not only relate to forgiveness but to all other aspects of our lives.
Here are a couple of gems that I pulled out of my reading today:
The greatest battle of life is fought out within the silent chambers of the soul. A victory on the inside f a man's heart is worth a hundred conquests on the battlefields of life. To be master of yourself is the best guarantee that you will be master of the situation. Know thyself. The crown of character is self-control. (Authorship unknown)
The assurance of supreme happiness, the certainty of a successful life here and of exaltation and eternal life hereafter, come to those who plan to live their lives in complete harmony with the gospel of Jesus Christ - and then consistently follow the course they have set. (Spencer W. Kimball)
The pictures is one my friend, August, took recently of Alaska (home of my heart). Enjoy!

I really enjoyed reading The Miracle of Forgiveness. I really wish that when I first joined the Church at the age of 22 that someone had suggested this book to me. There is so much good information. I love the way President Kimball lays things out for so many aspects of life.
Great quotes! I'm stealing them.
